I/O remoto in impianto di biogas
Negli impianti per l'upgrading del biogas di Purac Puregas, il sistema excom I/O di Turck facilita la manutenzione direttamente nella Zona 1
La svedese Swedish Purac Puregas è un'azienda esperta in impianti per l'upgrading del biogas, in grado effettuare l'upgrading del biogas dai rifiuti domestici fermentati e altri rifiuti organici estraendo metano e CO2. Di recente la Purac Puregas ha ottimizzato i processi di manutenzione dei suoi impianti di con un nuovo sistema I/O remoto in grado di rispondere a ogni sua esigenza: il sistema excom di Turck per aree pericolose e non.
Con la sua azienda Purac Puregas, il gruppo svedese per la gestione idrica Läckeby offre impianti per l'upgrading del biogas. Gli impianti di gas Purac Puregas effettuano l'upgrading del biogas grezzo per trasformarlo in biometano praticamente puro. Con il processo di assorbimento, chiamato CApure, gli impianti rimuovono l'anidride carbonica e l'acido solfidrico (H2S) dal biogas grezzo. In questo modo si accresce l'efficienza dell'impianto di biogas, migliorandone anche il bilancio ecologico.
excom per la sala compressori
La Purac Puregas era in cerca di una soluzione I/O remoto migliore per gli skid dell'impianto di biogas di un'azienda per l'energia elettrica locale di Savsjo. Nella sala del compressore di ogni modulo dell'impianto, un sistema I/O remoto nella zona 1 riceve i segnali di tutti i sensori e anche altri segnali inviati dalle aree pericolose. Il precedente I/O remoto non poteva essere manovrato direttamente nella zona 1. A fini di manutenzione, i clienti erano sempre costretti all'arresto del modulo dell'impianto e al degasaggio della sala del compressore. La procedura richiedeva molto tempo, lavoro e danaro, spesso per problemi di piccola entità, ad esempio la rottura di un filo.
Manutenzione agevole
Turck ha presentato il suo sistema excom di I/O remoto alla Purac Puregas. Diversamente dal sistema in uso, l'excom può essere montato direttamente nella zona 1. In più, i LED di stato dell'excom sono perfettamente visibili attraverso l'apertura della custodia in acciaio inox in cui è montato l'excom. Oggi i potenziali problemi vengono identificati facilmente, ad esempi dal personale addetto all'impianto elettrico della locale azienda responsabile per lo smaltimento dei rifiuti. E, se necessario, il cliente può richiedere assistenza da remoto semplicemente chiamando la Purac Puregas e descrivendo come appaiono i LED di stato oppure quali sono i messaggi diagnostici visualizzati.
Secondo Anders Rosengren, ingegnere elettronico senior presso la Purac Puregas, la facile manutenzione dell'excom è stato il fattore principale per il cambio di sistema: “I LED a elevata visibilità e la più agevole manutenzione tramite hot swap senza interruzioni sono stati i fattori principali che ci hanno convinto a scegliere l'excom. E poi l'excom è una buona scelta anche esteticamente. Abbiamo cercato di utilizzare sempre l'acciaio inossidabile, e con la custodia originale in acciaio inossidabile l'excom è praticamente perfetto”.
Il BL67 sopporta l'inverno svedese
Durante il progetto, la Purac Puregas ha trovato nel portfolio di proposte Turck anche altre soluzioni per ottimizzare l'impianto di gas. Nelle aree all'aperto, presso la torre di assorbimento della CO2, un sistema fieldbus ha il compito di collegare svariati indicatori a valvola al Profibus del PLC. Il sistema I/O fieldbus modulare di Turck, il BL67, con il suo range di temperatura fino a -40 °C, può essere utilizzato all'aperto anche alle temperature rigide degli inverni svedesi. Il Profibus è collegato al PLC tramite lo stesso nodo dell'excom. Gli accoppiatori di segmento SC12 di Turck provvedono al Profibus a sicurezza intrinseca. Il montaggio diretto all'aperto del BL67 ha esonerato la Purac Puregas dalla costruzione di un armadietto di controllo preriscaldato, favorendo così il risparmio energetico dell'impianto visto che i preriscaldatori avrebbero consumato energia.
